FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ's)

to allow us time to respond.

WHO: Heart of Bucks, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization founded to aid area charitable organizations by, among other things, running the Heart of Bucks Auto Show, which has been held in Doylestown, PA since 1976.
WHAT: The Heart of Bucks Auto Show CARnival and Cruise Nights are activities designed to entertain attendees and enthusiasts while raising funds for communtity charitable purposes.
WHEN: The Auto Show events usually occurs in Mid-July. There are typically a Spring Cruise Night and a Fall Cruise Night as well. Please check this website frequently to keep track of dates, which may change as circumstances require.
WHERE: The Auto Show has been a fixture at War Memorial Field, behind Central Bucks High School West at 375 W. Court Street in Doylestown. The Spring and Fall Cruise Nights have been held at the Doylestown Shopping Center (Acme) at 480 N. Main Street in Doylestown. Please check this website frequently and check the driving directions page.
WEATHER: All events are usually weather-permitting. We do not typically schedule rain-dates. We are exploring rain dates for 2007. If the weather is questionable, we do not call off the event in-advance and will be at the location to oversee whether to proceed or, if conditions prohibit proceeding, to notify any arrivals. If at all possible, we will proceed with the event. All advance payments are donations and are non-refundable.
JUDGING: Cruise Nights are not judged. Please check back often. The Saturday Car Show is judged by judges we assign and using a point scale system. All cars paying the registration fee, entering a division, wishing to be judged, and eligible for judging are judged in the division for which their vehicle best qualifies in the sole discretion of the Head of Judging and the Show Chairman. This is not an AACA-sanctioned event but we do utilize the 400 point scale to judge cars already sporting their senior badge. Owners may choose not to be judged by writing their choice on the judging form and providing it to the judges.
TROPHIES: Only the Auto Shows are judged. Therefore, trophies are only awarded at the Auto Shows. Saturday Trophies are awarded for first, second, and third place provided sufficiently-scoring cars are entered. All Seniors will also receive a participation award. Please see the registration form for additional special trophies. Trophies will not be awarded to cars that do not score high enough to justify an award based upon the sole discretion of the Head of Judging and the Show Chairman. For example, an unrestored and/or poorly-maintained vehicle, although entirely original and authentic, may be in such poor condition as to fail to earn sufficient points for an award, even if it is the only vehicle in its division. PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION: For 2007, no registration is required for any Cruise Night. For the Cross-Town Cruise Car Parade and Drive-in Movie, there is a $8 per vehicle registration paid prior to participation at the starting point for the parade. For the Antique/Classic Car Show there is a $10 per vehicle registration if paid prior to July 7, 2007, $15 per vehicle on the day of the event. Auto Show registration will close at 11:00 AM so that all vehicles may be placed on the field and judging may be organized. Vehicles that do not qualify for any of the divisions or, in the discretion of the Registration Chairman, Head of Judging, or Show Chairman, that do not meet minimum Show-Car attributes may be denied registration and may be denied entry onto the show grounds.
PARADE: The Auto Show Parade of Champions, in which the trophy winners drive up to the trophy tent for announcement and awarding of their trophy typically occurs around 2:30 PM
SPECTATOR ADMISSION: Cruise Nights are free. Cross-town Cruise/Drive-in Movie is open only to participants. Car Show - $5 per person, $3 Senior Citizens, children under 12 years of age are free. Admission gates may close immediately prior to the Parade of Champions due to safety concerns and due to the impending departure of the vehicles from the field which precludes adequate time for late attendees to view the vehicles.
